BOK 50th Anniversary social and club championships race at a brand new complex area. The main assembly will be at Hanham Community Centre, where we will be holding our Social Event after the racing has finished (from 1pm onwards).
Full Details are attached at the bottom of this page.
Entries for the race are now open via Fabian4.
There is a 50 minute score race (a celebration for our 50 years as a club), and for our younger juniors there is also a Yellow course available. Entries are open for everyone (BOK members, non-members, and members of other clubs that would like to run on this new area).
The starts are from 10:45 to 11:45.
The walk from the main assembly to the start/finish is about 750m, please take this into account when selecting your start block on Fabian4.
For those that are entering the race only (and do not require parking at the assembly area) it is possible to park on the residential side streets close to the the start/finish (as long as this is done considerately for local residents).
Social Event Tickets
Our social event will be from 1pm onwards at Hanham Community Centre. If it is a fine day, then everyone entering the race are welcome to join us in the field behind the community centre to celebrate our 50th year.
However, we have a limit on the number of people that are allowed inside the community centre if the weather is not so good. Therefore, for members of BOK we request that you register for a free ticket for the 'inside' social event using this link:
Hanham Hencliff & Bickley Woods is a newly mapped area along the edge of the river avon. It is a complex mix of forested old mining areas, with significant amounts of contour detail and features in the terrain. The southern part of the area is punctuated by a number of cliff edged valleys, and the northern area flattens out into forested parkland.
