Want to improve your orienteering? Next coaching session Saturday 7th March - for adults, families and juniors.
Jamie Hayward and Jackie Hallett will be continuing their new monthly orienteering coaching sessions on Saturday 7th March between 10.00am and 1.00pm at Ashton Court.
These are a series of drop in sessions that you can attend just one or all of them and they are aimed at beginners and orange course standard adult orienteers and juniors moving up to orange or light green courses.
The previous two sessions have been very successful and worthwhile and have focused on recognising symbols and identifying attack points to find controls. Both sessions had a good turnout of adults, and a range of young and older juniors.
“Most excellent training today thanks BOK! And special thanks to Gwen and her patience.” said one of the attendees.
This month, the focus will be on compass work and using the traffic light system for longer legs, but it doesn’t matter if you missed the first two sessions as the course will be tailor-made to your needs. Our coaches are all highly trained and experienced.
If you think you may be able to attend, please can you let Jackie know beforehand so she will have an idea of how many maps to bring along.
Please email her at firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to come along.
Meet at Church Lodge Car Park in Ashton Court.
