BOK Schools' successes at British Schools' Orienteering Champs!

On Sunday 17th November, orienteering teams from all over the country traveled to Black Country Park, Slough, for the 2019 British Schools' Orienteering Championships. This national competition is the premiere event for schools' orienteering the the UK.

Four schools from the BOK area took part, with teams from Redmaids' High (Bristol), Kingswood (Bath), The Blue School (Wells) and Croscombe Primary (Somerset).

All of these juniors, who also compete in the BOK Junior League, did us proud, managing the increased pressure of such a large event with confidence. Particularly impressive were the following results:

  • Redmaids High- Overall Small Secondary Winners
  • Kingswood - Year 6 Boys- Class Winners
  • Redmaids' High- Year 5 Girls  - Class Winners
  • Freddie - 2nd in his age class
  • Redmaids' High- 2nd in class for Year 6,7,8 and 10 Girls
  • Kingswood - 2nd in Year 10 Boys
