Western Night League Race. Pre-entry only via, Fabian 4 before Sunday 17th January. Please ensure that your contact details on the BOF data base are up to date (Track and Trace). Start times will be allocated to control numbers and flow. Entry is conditional on conforming to BOF code of conduct.
The current BO guidance is as follows.
“People should not travel into or out of a tier 3 (very high alert) area in order to participate in or volunteer at an orienteering competition or activity.
This does not apply to travel where it is necessary to enable supervised coaching sessions or competitions for under-18s or activities for disabled people, although in these cases travel should still be minimised and kept to short distances only.”
Odds & Evens Score Format. One hour night score event. This will be in an odds and evens format. You can choose to do odds or evens first. You can change over whenever you want, but you can only change once. There are 40 controls, each control has different points – with the more difficult controls worth more points (Total 650 points); visit a selection in any order within the hour after which there is a penalty – 1 point for each 6 seconds or 10 points for each minute late. Some controls are easier ‘yellow’ standard i.e. suitable for novices. To collect all controls is approximately 9-10km with a least 2 loops of the full area.
