A Triumphant Weekend for BOK!

The past weekend has seen the club heavily involved in the successful organisation of the British Sprint and Middle Distance Championships, while our runners have produced some outstanding results.

Heading the role of honour is the new Open British Middle Distance Women’s champion Cecilie Anderson, while Clive Hallett and Alice Bedwell are British Champions in their age classes at both Sprint and Middle Distance – an outstanding weekend for all three.

In the Middle Distance Championships, Alison Simmons and Clare Fletcher also became champions, and were joined on the podium by Lucy Tonge as a runner-up, with both Ella May Rush and Chloe Potter gaining third places.

In the Sprint discipline our new Champions were: Jim Bailey, Ruby Owen and Rachel Leathwood, with runner-up places going to Oliver Tonge, Tereza Rush and Alison Simmons. Louise Tonge was third in her class.  Honorable mention must also go to Geoff Ellis who won his class, although was wearing RAFO colours at the time!
