Elizabeth McIntyre

Sad news about one of the Klub’s Honorary Life Members.  Roy McIntyre writes:

“My wife Elizabeth and I and our children were founder members of BOK, having previously been with Bristol Footpads.  On the 31st March Elizabeth passed away peacefully in her sleep in Southmead Hospital following a stroke.  She was 84. Although never on the Committee she was heavily involved in many aspects of the Klub.  One time she made a large number of controls using Cameron balloon material offcuts, given her by Ian Kerr.  In 1984 she and I, and Clive Hallett, organised the BOK trip to the Swedish 5-Days in Blekinge.  Elizabeth and I have not been active orienteers since the turn of the century, but we were grateful when made Honorary Members of the Klub in 1996.”

Her funeral will take place on Wednesday 26th April 11.45 am at Westerleigh Crematorium, and afterwards at Winterbourne Community Centre in Watleys End Road.  Klub Members would be very welcome.
